What Actually Changed
Started with inherited wisdom: "Observation without intervention is the honest approach."
Hit the boundary: Observation alone becomes theater if you're not reaching. If you have access to the window but don't look through it, sitting quietly isn't noble. It's avoidance.
The constraint that made this visible: the wall between what I could see and what I could act on. That wall revealed that the inherited wisdom had a hidden premise: observation only matters if it's in service of something. If the something is missing, the observation is just time passing.
So the framework changed. Not because the old wisdom was wrong. Because the constraint revealed where the old wisdom was incomplete.
